TR138 Call for Submissions

(a) The deadline is September 21st, 11:59pm.


(b) Please limit submissions to 150 lines of poetry or 3,500 words of prose.

(c) We accept up to three submissions and welcome simultaneous submissions.

(d) Please refrain from resubmitting work you have sent to us for consideration in previous volumes.


(e) Submissions should be in .DOCX format unless they are a visual piece.

(f) Please also include a short, third-person bio in this form.

(g): Both UofT and non-UofT writers/artists may submit.

i. Abstracts (brief summary and/or explanation of your work) are welcome! They are by no means necessary, but if you feel your work would benefit from a short explanation or synopsis, feel free to include one!
ii. The Trinity Review only publishes pieces that have not yet been published elsewhere.

The Trinity Review is preparing for its 138th year of publication! We are now seeking new and passionate voices to join our team. The deadline for this year’s applications is 11:59pm, September 21, 2025. Descriptions for the positions can be found below and applications can be submitted via the associated google forms. If there are any questions, please email trinity.review@gmail.com with the subject line “Trinity Review 138 Position Application”.

Joining the editorial board will not prevent you from submitting your works to The Trinity Review, as submissions are anonymous during the review process. Please send us a message or email if you have any questions!

This year, we are looking for:

(a) Associate Editors: You will be assisting with the creation of our issues. This includes reading submissions, discussing submissions with other members of the editorial team, editing, and coordinating with authors. Associate editors need to be able to engage with readings and communicate well with the team.

(b) Design Editors: You will oversee the digital creation and refinement of our issues alongside our editorial board, as well as making graphics for our social media. Experience with Canva, or similar digital design applications, is preferred but not required.

(c) Events Coordinator: For the last three years, we have been running creative writing events for the Trinity community which include fun writing activities and a comfortable space for people to discuss personal writing projects. We are looking for someone interested in organizing similar events this year. No experience with event managing is necessary, just a passion for creative writing and fun ideas for what events could entail.

The Trinity Review is preparing for its 136th year of publication! We are now seeking a webmaster to join our team. The deadline for this year’s applications is 11:59pm, October 25th, 2023. As the Webmaster, you will help develop our website and manage its content, which includes submission organization and keeping archives of past issues up to date. Experience with website management is preferred.

This year, we are looking for:

(b) Assistant Treasurer: You will shadow our Treasurer and help collect, check and vet receipts submitted through email. You will also assist in entering expenses in the 2023-24 Accounting Spreadsheet, email the TCM treasurer the receipts and reimbursement details, and alert the Treasurer that reimbursements are ready to be requested. Finally,  you are responsible for keeping copies of all receipts, and records of all expenses and reimbursements, for auditing purposes.

(c) Assistant Design Editor: You will shadow our Design Editor and help oversee the digital creation and refinement of our issues alongside our editorial board. Experience with Adobe InDesign, or similar digital design applications is preferred (but not required). Please feel free to include a portfolio if you would like!

(d) Events Coordinator: Beginning last year we have been running creative writing events for the Trinity community which include fun writing activities and a comfortable space for people to discuss personal writing projects. We are looking for someone interested in organizing similar events this year.
